A Medical Office Assistant for over 15 years, Maria Lesia (nee Puhacz) Paszkowsky, passed away at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 69. A Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and friend of many, Maria enjoyed traveling, yoga, and gardening, but most important to her was caring for and doting over, her five grandchildren. She was also a member of the Ukrainian National Women's League, Branch #97.

Maria was married on May 27th, 1972, to her best friend and the love of her life, George Bohdan Paszkowsky, her beloved husband of almost 49 years.

She was the devoted mother of Christina (Joseph) Welsh, Lida Mazepa, and Danylo (Krista) Paszkowsky, and loving grandmother of Maksym Welsh, Maya Welsh, Kalyna Mazepa, Adrian Mazepa, and Renata Mazepa.

The cherished daughter of the late Anastazia (nee Teplyckyj) and late Petro Puchacz, who immigrated to the United States, with their children, in March of 1954.

Maria was the dearest sister of Ihor (Stephanie Hnatiw) Puhacz and Wasyl (Mary Ann) Puhacz and was also survived by nieces, nephews, and relatives in Ukraine.

The family will be present on Monday, May 3rd, 2021, from 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) where a Panachyda Service will be held at 7:30 PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fillmore at Oneida Street, in Buffalo, New York,  on Tuesday morning, May 4th, 2021, at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 304 Fillmore Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14206 or Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, 665 Elm Street, Buffalo, New York 14203.

Face coverings and social distancing will be required at all times during Mrs. Paszkowsky's services.
