The former Maria Timofejew, a retired assembler at McGard, of Orchard Park, New York, passed away at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst, New York, at the age of 83. Now Maria Sywak, she was the daughter of the late Eva (nee Gareis) and the late William Timofejew, as well as a  loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother.

She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Sywak, who predeceased her on November 24, 2010.

Maria was the devoted mother of Michael (Eva) Sywak, Vera (Fred) Berent, Nicholas J. Sywak, Peter (Sandy) Sywak, Mary (Tom Aures) Sywak, Elizabeth (Steven) King and the late Leon Sywak and William Sywak.

And was also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The Family will be present for visitation on Monday from 5-8 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where a panachyda service will take place at 7:30 PM.

Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, in Lackawanna, New York, will be held privately.
