The former Marie Ann Pirog was born on Saturday, February 26, 1938, to the late Bertha (nee Glica) and the late Thomas Pirog, Sr. in Buffalo, New York.  Marie Ann was a packaging operator at General Mills in Buffalo, New York for almost 30 years, till her retirement.

She had a "Green Thumb" and also liked to feed the Birds and Squirrels, go to the Casino, and also spend her free time completing Crossword Puzzles. Marie Ann also enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her family and the grandchildren, watching them grow up and cherished trying to teach them the art of cooking, since she made the best Pączki (Donuts), Pierogi, Golumpki, Mushroom Soup, and her famous Czarnina.

Marie Ann was married to her "Best Friend" and the "Love of her Life" her beloved husband the late Leonard J. Lommer.

The devoted mother of Ann-Marie Lommer, James (Sherry Pruchnowski) Lommer, Sr., Michael Lommer and the late Florian Lommer and a loving grandmother of James (Brianna Kaitanowski) Lommer, Jr., and Christopher (Alyssa Gates) Lommer.

She was the dearest sister of Thomas (Ruth) Pirog and the late Irene (late Eugene) Papaj, late Florence (late Stephen) Hajduk, and late Carol (late Leonard) Mekarski.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will be present on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, at 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road, where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 AM.

Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York.
