Obituary

Mark  J. Warren, 63 of Tonawanda, New York entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, after suffering a medical emergency.

Born in 1955 to Emily C. (Gurowski) and the late John Warren of Cheektowaga, Mark was a true gentleman. Kind and honest, he never had a bad word to say and was always eager to do what he could to help out anyone in need. He was always the optimist, seeing the good in any situation and always managing to see the good in people. Mark retired from the IRS in Buffalo where he was employed for 30 years and was an active member of the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Service Credit Union for the last 15 years. A life-long member of St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Cheektowaga. He never missed a Sunday Mass, even attending out of town services, when away from home. He was an avid golfer and bowler, always up for a tournament, or impromptu game as well as playing on leagues for many years. He also enjoyed gardening.

Mark is survived by his wife Lois (Anderson) Warren, beloved daughter Emily Anne Warren, his mother Emily C. Warren, sister Janice Siniscalco of Penfield, NY, brother Gary of San Diego, CA, nieces and nephew Elizabeth Siniscalco (goddaughter), Catherine Siniscalco, and John Siniscalco, brothers-in-law David (MaryAnn) Anderson, Jim (Susan) Anderson and Doug (Kris Pink) Anderson, goddaughter Katherine Anderson, and many beloved nieces and nephews in Medina. Mark was predeceased by his father, John, and brother-in-law Cosimo Siniscalco. The children in his life brought him much joy and he loved spending time with his family. Mark also leaves behind 3 much loved and spoiled cats ("Dirtbags") Peabody (Buddy), Mango and Mr. Gray Fur whom he could often be seen with walking outside on their leashes. They would always run to greet him whenever they saw his leash in hand or upon hearing him return home.

He will be greatly missed.

Mark will be present along with his family at the Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William Street (near Harlem Road) on Sunday, September 23, 2018, from 4 - 7 PM.
