Michael John Garbacz passed away from COVID-19 in Hamilton, Montana, at the age of 63.

A talented artist, craftsman, and outdoorsman, he was most recently employed as a customer services representative at a sporting goods store in Darby, Montana.

Born on Friday, August 15, 1958, he was the beloved son of Phyllis (nee Wereski) and the late Leo "Mickey" Garbacz, Jr.

Michael was the devoted brother of Michele (Robert) Kokal, Mark (Karen) Garbacz, Martin (Mary) Garbacz, Mary Lynn (Bob) Edwards, and Susan (Robert) Dierken.

He was the cherished life companion of Terri Nielson.

He was also the father of Jacob (Amanda Begay), Michael, Benjamin, and Kimberly (Wesley Korte) Garbacz, and grandfather of Branden, Jameson, and Rayden.

Mike was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make sure you and your loved ones get vaccinated and wear masks in public.
