Nancy was born on Friday, March 16, 1951 to Josephine (nee Grell) and Leonard Krakowiak.

At the age of 16, Nancy met her best friend and love of her life Francis Kurek. They later married in 1972 at Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church, in Buffalo, NY. Nancy worked as a Teachers Aide at Cheektowaga School District.

A devoted mother of Lindsay (Chris Clayton) Kurek and Eric Kurek.

Loving grandmother of Josephine and Lillian Clayton.

Dearest sister of Joan Krakowiak and sister-in-law of of Joseph (Arja) Kurek,  Elizabeth (William) Hayden, Michael (Dolores) Kurek, Mary (Richard) Betker, and the late Anthony (Joanne)  and late Paul (Laura) Kurek.

Nancy is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will be present Thursday 3-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held Friday at 9:15 AM and at Resurrection Church at 10 AM.

Burial will take place at St. Adalberts Cemetery in Lancaster, NY.
