Patricia M. Wheeler, whose grace and warmth touched the lives of many, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on November 9, 1944, in Buffalo, NY, to Anna Witczak and Peter Pittner, Sr., Patricia was a beacon of kindness and strength, qualities that flourished throughout her life.
A dedicated Teachers Aide at St. Josaphat's Church in Cheektowaga, NY, Patricia enriched the lives of countless children, instilling in not just knowledge, but a love for learning and compassion for others. Her profound dedication to her vocation mirrored her commitment to her family, making her a cherished figure in both her professional and personal spheres.
Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence A. Wheeler, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Together, they fostered a nurturing home for their devoted children, Lawrence (Kris) Wheeler, Annette (Kevin) Borodzik, Jeffrey (Magdalena) Wheeler, Joyce (Mark) Chlebek, and Jason Wheeler. Each of them carries forward the values instilled by their mother, ensuring that her spirit and teachings will resonate through generations.
As a cherished grandmother, Patricia took great joy in her grandchildren: Lawrence, Thomas, Emily, Melissa (Dalton), Heather (Eric), Grace, Anna, Elsa, Lincoln, and Tess. Her heart expanded further to embrace her role as a loving great-grandmother to Nico.
Patricia also shared a special bond with her sister, Theresa (late Edwin) Kolasny, while being reunited with her late siblings Joan (late Donald) Szalasny and Peter (Bonnie) Pittner, Jr.
Family and friends will be present on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 3 PM to 7 PM at Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William St, Cheektowaga, NY. A Prayer Service will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, starting at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josaphat Parish at 10 AM.
Burial will take place at St. Matthew's Cemetery in West Seneca, NY.
Patricia's kindness, strength, and loving nature will be deeply missed, yet her memory will shine brightly in the cherished stories shared by her family and friends in the years to come. Patricia will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her dedication at work, and the gentle spirit with which she embraced all who crossed her path.
