Brown, Jr.
October 13, 1957 – January 5, 2022
Married to the love of his life, he was the beloved husband of Jodi (nee Ashmore) Brown and devoted father of Brittni (Brian) Benson, Drew (Bernice) Brown and Danielle Pratts.
A loving PaPa of Hazel Benson, Clementine Benson, Waylon Mejak and, Levi Mejak.
Born on Sunday, October 13, 1957, a devoted son of Marilyn Brown and Richard (Yvonne) Brown, Sr. and son-in-law of Juanita (late Jack Pace) Ashmore and James (Deanna) Ashmore.
He was the dearest brother of Colleen (Charles) Boykin, late Dean (Colleen Nowak) Brown, Renee (Duane) Sharp, and Angela Kuc and also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and cousins.
The family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem.) Face coverings and social distancing will be required.
A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held at a later date.
Richard was a retired Plow Driver with over 10 years of service for the New York State Department of Transportation, Richard E. Brown, Jr. and passed away at Buffalo Mercy Hospital, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 64.
For over 20 years Richard was also a Band Manager for several local bands most notably including the group "Klear," as well as a manager at the Appletree Fitness Center and the Steel Mill Gym for over 10 years. He was very proud of his involvement in the Health and Fitness industry.
He also enjoyed spending time with his family and had a great love of motorcycles.
