A former Aviation Electrician, in the US Navy during the Korean War, Robert E. Fischer, passed away at Mercy Hospital, at the age of 89.

Robert also worked for over 43 years as a Journeyman - Printer at Quebecor, a diversified media and telecommunications company, earlier known as J. C. Clement and Arcata Graphics.

He was also a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Father Justin Council No. 5670, St. Maxalilian Kolbe Assembly.

At the age of 83, Robert shot his first Hole-in-One, while playing Golf with his league mates and in his later years, found friendship in joining his lady friends at painting and ceramic class, being one of the few men to join them at their craft classes. He will also be known as one of the Best Armchair Quarterbacks the Buffalo Bills had on their Armchair squad.

He was predeceased by his best friend and Love of his Life, his beloved wife the late Doris (nee Strzelczyk) Fischer.

The devoted father of Linda (John) Kolacz, Robert E, Jr. (Susan) Fischer, and grandfather of Jason (Amanda) Kolacz, Amy Becht, Adam (Kelly) Fischer, Jacob Fischer, Jared (Taylor) Fischer, Zachery (Mateja) Fischer, Jackie Fischer, the late Kristen Marie Fischer and the Great-grandfather of Jason Kolacz, Michael Becht, Nathan Becht, Brayden Fischer, Abigail Fischer, Vivian Fischer, Landon "Hank" Fischer, and Anya Fischer.

The cherished son of the late Wanda (nee Drzemkowski) Fischer-Daruszka and the late Edmund Fischer, who pass on when Robert was very young, and his step-father the late Stanley Daruszka.

Robert was the dearest brother of Adrian (late Henry) Banas, and the late Edward Fischer, late Eleanor (late Walter) Krasuski, late Chester (late Virginia) Daruszka, and late Ronald (late Theresa) Daruszka.

He was also survived by nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Church (1990 Clinton St, 14206) Wednesday (01/20/2021) at 10 AM.

Face coverings and social distancing will be required.

Mr. Fischer's Entombment with Military Honors will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, in Lancaster, New York.
