A retired Carpenter, at the University of Buffalo, Robert M. Funk, Sr., passed away peacefully at Hospice Buffalo, at the age of 73.

He was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Zybczynski) Funk and devoted father of Robert, Jr. (Julie) Funk, Lynn Marie (Tony Shields) Funk, Joseph (Danielle) Funk, Kevin (Sheri) Getz and Nadine "Dina" (Vinnie) Ostrowski.

The cherished grandfather of Zach, Tina Marie, Amanda Marie, Briana Marie, Joey, Megan, Nick, Kayla, Ashley and Alex.

Robert was the loving son of the late Geraldine and William Funk and dearest brother of Betty (Ronnie) Chudoba, Jerry (Lori) Funk and the late Patricia (Bill) Craver and late Billy (late Judy) Funk and also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) where services will be held on Thursday evening at 7 PM.

Entombment will take place at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Marian Mausoleum on Friday Morning at 9:30 AM. Please assemble at the Mausoleum.
