Roman Tschip was born on Wednesday, December 24, 1947 to Irene (nee Zatyracz) and Osyp Tschip in Hersfeld, Germany.  Mr. Tschip was a Major in the US Army Reserves, Veteran of Gulf War Desert Storm and a member of VFW Joseph Hriczko Post 6245 and Ukrainian American Veterans (UAV).  He was also a retired chemist from the Buffalo Sewer Authority.

Roman was the beloved husband of Irene (nee Hurny).

Loving father of Andrew (Melissa) and Steven (Theresa) Tschip.

Loving grandfather of Brianna (Christopher) Scott, Arianna (Zach) Tschip and Melody Tschip and foster grandfather of Hilary.

Family will be present on Sunday, April 21st from 3-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road where Panachyda Service will be held at 6:30 PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Liturgy on Monday morning at 10 AM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, corner of Fillmore and Oneida St.  Please assemble at the church.

Burial will follow with Military Honors at St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca, New York.
