Turyk
April 22, 1928 – September 20, 2022
A retired welder at Blaw-Knox, Co, in Buffalo, New York, with over 30 years of service, Roman Turyk, passed away at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital at the age of 94. Roman was a member of the Buffalo Homing Pigeon Association and was a Pigeon officiato for over 70 years. He was also very active with the former St. Nicholas Saturday Bingo committee, the Ukrainian Youth Association "CYM" Parents Group and the Ukrainian Home "DNIPRO."
Roman was the beloved husband of Olga (nee Pawziuk) Turyk.
A devoted father of Ann (William, Sr.) Serediuk and Helen (Bohdan) Cherniawski and loving grandfather of William M. (Jennifer) Serediuk, Jr., Nicholas (Julia) Serediuk and Dianna (Patrick Mulligan) Serediuk and proud great-grandfather of Sophia.
He was the dearest brother of the late Myroslaw (late Enid) Turyk and late Walter (Mary) Turyk and also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada.
The family will be present on Monday, September 26th, 2022, from 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where Panachyda Service will be held at 7 PM and Tuesday, September 27th, 2022, at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, located at Fillmore and Oneida Street at 10 AM.
