An assembly worker at Roberts Gordon, Inc., Ronald J. Schmidt, passed away at Sisters of Charity Hospital - St. Joseph Campus, on Monday, March 27, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Scherer) Schmidt and devoted father of Ronald R. Schmidt and Rebecca L. (Fiance-Harley Burfield) Schmidt as well as the loving grandfather of Cleo Burfield.

The dearest son of the late Clarissa and late Robert P. Schmidt and son-in-law of JoAnn Scherer.

Ron was the dearest brother of Phyllis (William) Wagner and also survived by aunts, uncles, a niece and cousins.

Family will be present on Thursday afternoon from 4 to 7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where a Celebration of Life Service will follow visitation at 7 PM.
