IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosemary
Decker
May 20, 1928 – January 25, 2019
A loving Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many, the former Rosemary Oshlick, passed away at Garden Gate Health Care Facility, in Cheektowaga, New York, at the age of 90. A retired packer at General Mills, Rosemary was a parishioner at the former St. Stephen's/Shrine of St. Jude Church for many years, till it merged into St. Clare Parish and then with it's closing, finally becoming a parishioner at St. Teresa Church, in South Buffalo. While at St. Stephen's in her younger years, she was very active in the parish, helping out where ever she could.
She especially loved the arrivals of all her little angels, making sure that she was at the birth of all her grandchildren. No matter what State of birth, she found a way to be present and welcome them into the family.
Rosemary was the daughter of the late Pauline and Joseph Oshlick and was predeceased by her husband and best friend, the late David J. Decker, Sr., who passed away in May of 1988.
The devoted mother of Deborah (Gregory) Moore, David J. (Donna) Decker, Jr., the late Donald Decker and the late Daniel (Rebecca) Decker.
A loving grandmother of Robin (Paul) Prytula , Tracie (Travis) Gilmer, Christina and Jason Moore and great-grandmother of Alanna, Allysa, Trevor, Tyler, Chance, and Tanner.
She was also predeceased by her sister the late Helen (late Walter) Gajewski and was survived by nieces and was "Aunt Rose" to many friends.
The family wishes to give a Special Thanks to her niece, Dolores Gajewski, for all that she did for "Aunt Rose".
The family will be present on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St (near Harlem) where services will begin on Tuesday at 9:30 AM and be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew's Church, located at Crocker and Reiman Streets, in Sloan, New York, at 10 AM.
Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, in Cheektowaga, New York.
