The Foundress and retired owner of Erie Auto Parts, in Buffalo, New York, the former Santina Modica, passed away at Buffalo General Hospital, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 91.

Santina Caldarella, was known for her bigger than life personality, her Quick Wit and she always had a way (her way!) with words. She lived with passion - everyone knew what she loved and what she didn't!

Better known to most as the "Duck Lady of Reist St," Santina was knowledgeable at life in general and a Mom to everyone.

She enjoyed raising her grandchildren and was considered by her children as a Great Cook and the Best Sauce Maker.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Delphine (Iafallo) Modica and late Frank Modica and beloved wife to the love of her life the late Frank Caldarella.

Santina was the dearest mother of Tina Marie (Dan) Helenbrook, Cindy (Thomas) Robb, Tracy Caldarella (Albert Steele), and the late Francyne Caldarella, late Bruce Caldarella, late Janet Caldarella and late Franky Lynn Caldarella (David Edwards).

A proud grandmother of Donald (Melissa) Amoia, Venese (Ricky, Jr.) Gulczewski, Douglas (Kim) Parker, Jesse (Tracy Caruana) Parker, Michael Betz, Daniel Helenbrook, Andrew Edwards, Janine Betz, and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family is going to plan a small, private service at this time out of concern for the Coronavirus pandemic.

However, the family looks forward to celebrating Santina's life with extended family members and all her friends at a later date. Please check back for updates to this information.
