Sister Mary Claudianne, 99, peacefully went home to her God on Monday, May 3 ^rd , at Holy Name of Mary Convent in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

During her 81 years of religious life, Sister ministered as an educator for 42 years, teaching all grades in Buffalo, NY, and surrounding areas.

In 1982, she moved to Canada and ministered at Holy Name of Mary High School for five years.  Sister moved to Hamilton and then ministered at the Good Shepherd Centre as an accounting clerk.  She enjoyed her years working with the Brothers, and fondly spoke of her time there.  She moved to Mississauga in 2012 and enjoyed her retirement years, despite various health issues.

Sister was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Maria, her sisters Louise, and Charlotte, and her brothers, Theophil, Joseph, and Stanley.  She was the beloved aunt of several nieces and nephews.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Convent Chapel on Friday, May 14 ^th – what would have been Sister's 100 ^th birthday!
