At the age of 100, born Clare Brylinski in Buffalo to late Constantine and Frances (Swierkowski) Brylinski.
Sister Marguerite is survived by nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, John, Joseph, Matthew, Francis, Stanley and Athanasius Brylinski and her sisters, Monica Durma and Mary Brylinski.
A wake for Sister Mary Marguerite will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Central Convent on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. An Evening Prayer Service will take place on Thursday, at 5:00 p.m., in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 20, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York.

SISTER MARY MARGUERITE BRYLINSKI, CSSF, Teacher
Sister Mary Marguerite Brylinski, 100, a Felician Sisters for 83 years, died in the Blessed Mary Angela Care Center, Buffalo, NY, on November 17, 2015. The former Clare Brylinski was born on February 25, 1915, in Buffalo, NY, and was a member of Assumption Parish in Buffalo. She entered the Immaculate Heart of Mary Province of the Felician Sisters in Buffalo on July 2, 1932, and professed perpetual vows on August 13, 1940. She furthered her education at The Canisius College of Buffalo where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
Sister Marguerite was a full-time Catholic elementary school teacher for forty-two years. Initially, she taught at Sacred Heart School in Syracuse, NY, for twelve years. She spent two years in Canada, from 1967 to 1969, teaching at St. Michael School in Dunville, Ontario. Upon her return, she taught at St. Peter School in Lowville, NY, for a year, She returned to the Diocese of Buffalo where she continued teaching children at various schools. At St. Valentine School, Buffalo, NY, she also served as principal. She genuinely cared for her students and helped them reach their potential.
Her teaching skills extended to Religious Education programs at Precious Blood Parish, Angola, NY; Holy Spirit Parish, North Collins, NY; St. Mary Parish, Mayville, NY; and St. Teresa of Avila Parish, Akron, NY. At St. Teresa's she was also involved in parish ministry.
In August, 1994, SM Marguerite became a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Provincial House Convent where she assisted sisters in many ways. From 1995 until 2006 she lived at St. Francis Residence Convent, Buffalo, NY. Because of physical weakness, she became a patient in the Blessed Mary Angela Care Center on March 7, 2006. During her nine year stay in the Care Center, Sister Marguerite was her kind, sensitive self, who walked in her wheelchair, prayed and ate with the sisters and greeted everyone she met. She was able to be with the sisters until a few weeks before her death.
