Obituary
Theresa, who loved her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoyed reading, old movies and still found time to be a be a Girl Scout and Brownies leader at St. Bernard Church, in Buffalo, New York, with the area children for many years.
She is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Edwin S. Yanik, her children, Joseph (Judy) Yanik, Edwin A. Yanik, Yvonne (Steve) Clark, Michele Zak and Milissa (Eric) Voigt.
A loving grandmother of Teresa (Lucas) Styers, Beth (Joe) Thurston, Emily Yanik, Amanda (fiancé Randall Spence) Clark, Christopher Zak, Nicole (Zachery Ziolkowski) Zak, Hannah Voigt and Amelia Voigt and great grandmother of Thomas, Henry, Emily, Riley, Gavin and Addison.
Theresa was the dearest sister of Marilyn Brown, Robert Soto and Edward Kress and sister-in-law of Pauline Zyback. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family will be present on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held on Thursday morning at 9 AM, followed by a Mass or Christian Burial at St. Josaphat Parish, located at William at Peoria Avenue, in Cheektowaga, New York at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, in West Seneca, New York.
