Smirnow
September 11, 1950 – November 25, 2020
At the age of 70, a retired Nuclear Medical Technologist at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, NY for over 40 years.
Devoted son of the late Sophie (nee Duda) and Walter Smirnow. Victor and his brother Jerry were the first generation of an immigrant family. In Victor's younger years he worked with his Dad at Conrail and installed fence posts.
Was most famous for his sense of humor and passionate about helping others.
Victor enjoyed fishing and relaxing at the Cabin in Canada with his wife, Tina. He also loved being around his grandchildren, hanging out with his friends, hunting, and his most favorite pastime was arguing with Neil.
He was a beloved husband of the late Tina (nee Romanowski) Smirnow.
Devoted father of Neil (Shana Power) Smirnow and Alexis Smirnow.
Loving grandfather of Alexander and Nicholas.
Dear brother of the late Jerry (late Ida) Smirnow.
Victor is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Help of Christians Church ( 4125 Union Road ) Monday at 10 AM .
The family appreciates your prayers and concerns for their father and grandfather during these times and would like to thank you for your support and understanding.
