Obituary

At the age of 77, former Material Handler at Ford Motor Company. Walter was the son of late Pawlo and Motrya (nee Krupenko) Tupyckyj,

Walter served in the US Army for 2 years.  Retired from Ford Motor Company in Woodlawn after 30 years. After retirement he volunteered teaching English in Ukraine through UNA. Longtime parishioner of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church and member of Ukrainian Home Dnipro. Walter also devoted his time to various other Ukrainian Organizations.

Husband of late Ann (nee Hanuszczak); devoted father of Natalie and Walter A. (Christine) Tupyckyj; loving grandfather of Oksana, Orest and Andrij Tupyckyj; dearest brother of Nadine (Walter) Usyk, Halyna (Mykola) Prytula and Mary Jane (Raymond) Mingle;  also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins in Ukraine.

Family will be present Wednesday 4-8 PM (Panachyda Service at 6 PM) at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem). Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Funeral Liturgy at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church (200 Como Park Blvd) Thursday at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church or Ukrainian Home Dnipro.
