A former Coordinator, for almost 20 years, at the Thaddeus J. Dulski Community Center, in Buffalo, New York, Wendy M. Grucza, passed away at Buffalo General Hospital, in Buffalo, New York at the age of 62.

Best known as "Miss Wendy" to all in the community, she was the Rock of the East Buffalo Neighborhood. Wendy was great with the youth of the neighborhood, a Great Listener, was so easy to talk to and touched the lives of all that she came in contact with. Miss Wendy was an adopted MOM by many, but she loved most being a Grandma to her grandchildren. She also gave the best "Hugs" and made the best "German Potato Salad."

Wendy was the best friend and love of his life and wife to her beloved husband, John J. Grucza, Jr.

The devoted mother to John Grucza, Jr. and Jill Marie (Jason) Malke and proud grandmother of Andrew, Robert, Travis, John, and her fur-baby Ruby.

She was the daughter of the late Ruth Louise (nee Brunner) and late Clifford David McLane. The loving sister of Clifford (Laurie) McLane, Sandra (Walter) Wierzbicki, and the late Kate (George) Brazell and sister-in-law of Gerald (late Charlene) Grucza, Kathy (late John) Darnell, and Audrey (Matthew) Rozalski.

Wendy was also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, several adopted neighborhood children, and friends.

Out of concern for the Coronavirus pandemic, the family is not planning any service at this time. However, they look forward to celebrating Wendy with extended family members and friends at a Celebration of her life that will be planned at a later date. Please check back for further updates.
