At the age of 64. Bill was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, past Commander of the American Legion Blasdell Post No. 60 and active member of the Erie County Honor Guard

The devoted husband of Raphael (nee Calabrese) Higley.

A beloved father of Rick Higley, Brandon Higley and a fond step-father of Michele (Shawn) Lone and Nicole Brown. The loving grandfather of Becca, Kayla and Shena and a great-grandfather of Annabellie.

Dearest son of the late Robert and Virginia Higley and son-in-law of Helen Calabrese.

Dear brother of Bruce (Kate) Higley, Barbara Wilkins, Keith (Gail) Higley, Susan (Albert) Agrasto and Nancy Higley (Don) Ball.  Brother-in-law of Anthony (Miok) Calabrese, Martin (Lisa John) Calabrese, James (Millie) Calabrese, Richard (Maria) Calabrese and Kenneth (Maureen) Calabrese.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Family will be present Monday 4-8 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where a funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 11 AM.

Inurnment will be held at Bath National Cemetery in Bath, New York at a later date.
